It's raining it's pouring the old man is snoring...
Rain drops keep falling on my head...
I'm singing in the rain...
Rain, Rain, go away come again some other day... (Stay, I like the rain)
I think that is all of the rain songs I know. Can you tell it's raining, like crazy outside?
I'll post pictures soon...maybe.

Who would have thought...
When I was in high school I had a friend that wanted to go to BYU (she didn't). She would tell me that I would have to go and visit her. It was too cold and there was no way that I would come and visit. I was going to continue my 18 year pattern and stay in Arizona...forever because it was nice and warm. This is from a girl who would wear a sweater when it was 70 degrees outside, or inside for that matter.
So I ask, who would have thought 10 years ago that I would be sitting hear in Missouri wearing sandals as I take Bethany to school and it was probably 55 degrees outside? Don't forget I didn't have a sweater either. Who would have thought that I would move to Logan, UT, probably on of the coldest places in the US. I know I would not have even thought of it. Visiting, maybe, but living, never.
Who would have thought 10 years ago that the day would come that I would actually see an Amish horse and buggy going down the road? Not me, that's something you only see in the movies right.
Who would have thought the the road kill on the side of the road would be armadillos, raccoons, and possums (SO FAR, I hear turtles become pretty active in the spring.)? Not Me.
(I was on the way home from AZ in June for this one) Who would have thought that I would actually see a FLDS lady with the big hair and pioneer type dress? Once again, only something you see on the news.
All of these things that you can't ever imagine seeing, but you only read/hear about them so you know they exist, I have seen with my two eyes.
PRETTY CRAZY IF YOU ASK ME!!

We're here!
Wow what a ride! Now that we are settled into the mid-west, school has started and I sort of miss the summer schedule. I'm really not enjoying getting up at 6:30 just to listen to the screams of a 18 mon old because I have not made a bowl of cereal yet. Seriously how long does it take to make a bowl of cereal. Obviously too long. My poor neighbor, whom we currently share a wall with, probably misses her no neighbor status or the summer time routine. Other than that..."I THINK I'M GONNA LIKE IT HERE!" (Yes you have to read it with a singing voice like Anne so you can get the right effect.)

So long for now!
This is our last weekend here. I just have to say that I hate packing. This new experience will be fun and I can't wait to just get there and move on with a new chapter in our life. 1st grade already started at the new place so after Labor Day we will register the big girl and hopefully establish a routine that will be easy to settle into. Wish us luck!!

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!
I like to think that I am patient, but these last couple of months have really tested my patience. Since Adam's graduation, Bethany has finished school. We went to AZ for a couple of weeks just to return and find out that a realtor had left the back door open and someone had a party in our basement. Thankfully nothing was stolen. Also, we have been searching for a job that will work for us. And cleaning for at least 50 showings (since Feb). Let's just say I am relieved to have the house under contract and will close next month. For the greatest set of news is that we have a reason to move. Adam got hired on in Missouri. Yep that's right. In two weeks we are packing up and heading out. It feels good to have all of our ducks in a row! It will be a fun adventure!!

What is going on with us?
(Sorry this is a long one!)
Well since I didn't have enough foresight to get the camera out while we colored eggs, hid eggs, found eggs, and ate the eggs, there are no pictures with eggs in it this year. Also, the Easter dress picture will just have to wait another week because once again I didn't get the camera out. Quite frankly I have no idea where it is at the moment. OK maybe I have an idea, there are a few places in the house that it could be. I'm sure some of you can understand what it is like when you are selling your house. Things get messy and then you get the call that in 2-3 hours someone would like to look at your house so in that time you grab everything off of the counters and put it somewhere, anywhere so that it is out of sight and the camera just happens to be the victim of the frantic clean up.
Anyways, school is pretty much done for Adam. He has two finals on Thursday and 2 take home finals that are due on Friday. On Saturday is the big day. ADAM GRADUATES. YAY!!!!! The light at the end of the tunnel used to be as big as the pointy part of a needle, now we are standing in the thresh hold (sp?) of the very same tunnel. It is exciting. Bethany will be done with Kindergarten at the end of May and hopefully by then all of the pieces to the puzzle will be in place and we will be on our way.
Emma is 14 months old now and holy molly she is busy. As soon as I get her down from where ever she is climbing she is off to the next climbing spot or to the open door to empty something out. She keeps me on my toes that is for sure. She really surprised us this weekend. If you know my children you know that if they see a stranger or a stranger looks at them they cry...a lot...especially with men. Well this weekend we has some friends over for a graduation party thing and Emma didn't want to sit on Adam's or my lap, she opted for one of the friends. The fastest way to Emma heart is through her stomach. He had tortilla chips and she wanted them. What was even more surprising was, later after I changed her diaper I just put her on the floor to play and she went straight to him. On the other hand if another guy that was there looked at her she would freak. I don't understand my children sometimes.
I guess I should share the balls in my shirt story. I will be a good one for Colten later. I guess it was a couple of months ago now that the kids, Bethany and Colten, were putting two balls in their shirt and running around saying, "we are grown ups, we are grown ups." Once again I don't understand my children sometimes. Well a few weeks after that I dug in my closet for a shirt that I haven't been able to wear for a long time because, well, it just didn't fit. I'm not saying it fit great on this day, but I was able to wear it with confidence and not worry too much about the rolls. Usually my shirts are not tight, but on this day it was. Anyways, I was helping Colten get dressed and when he gave me a hug and his hand landed on my chest, breast, boob, udder, whatever you want to call it and all of a sudden Colten felt a need to continue grabbing me trying to look down my shirt because he was convinced that I had balls in my shirt. I guess I will have to wait a few more pounds before I can wear that shirt in public. I really don't want to replay that scene in the grocery store or something.
All in all we are doing good and as soon as I know all of the details to the puzzel pieces I will definately post out the future.

The Worst Mother Ever!!!
Bethany finally lost her tooth last night after dinner. Ok so maybe Adam pulled it out for her. She was so brave and cute at the same time. You had to be there, it was pretty funny. Anyways... When I was little our family had a tooth pillow that the fallen out teeth could go so the tooth fairy didn't have to wake anyone up. Also with 8 kids who could blame her. Sometimes teeth were lost without ever being told about it. Around Christmas Bethany discovered that her tooth was loose. Barely loose. So after Christmas I thought it would be fun if we made a tooth pillow. It isn't very big. 3x3in with a little pocket on the front of it. So last night we carefully placed the tooth in the pocket and set it on her dresser (out of Emma's reach) and then at bed time we were going to move it down. Well at bed time I forgot to move it. Bethany remembered after I had put her to bed, but I still forgot until almost my bedtime. I remembered when I was in the bathroom, but by the time I was out, my mind had wandered someplace else.
This morning rolls around and when I wake up Bethany for school, it has still slipped my mind until Bethany pops up and looks under her pillow. I asked her where was the tooth pillow. She informed my that the tooth pillow does not go under her pillow. Feeling horrible by this point, I asked her where it was and it was at the foot of her bed...with the tooth still in it. I told her that the tooth fairy must not have been able to find her tooth and that today we will have to leave a note for her.
I know it doesn't sound that bad. But people it was her first tooth. I can understand forgetting about the 5th,6th,or even the 7th, but the 1st no way. There is way too excitement involved that it is just unspeakable. If you never want to talk to me again I understand. Don't worry tonight the tooth fairy will redeem herself.
